Sin duda alguna uno de los trajes tradicionales de los Altos de Chiapas que más me gusta es el de San Juan Cancuc.
A comparación de los otros trajes éste no lleva los clásicos diseños de flores, la representación del universo o ranas. Sus huipiles están compuestos por brocados casi matemáticos -bueno de hecho todos los brocados lo son- sin embargo, estos son una serie de figuras rectangulares que me dan la impresión de estar compuestos por unidades 8 bit.
Al fin se me hizo ir a esta comunidad pues estoy tramando algo con una bella artesana de ahí que muy pronto les mostraré. Mientras tanto les dejo algunas fotografías que tomé y espero les sorprenda su traje tanto como a mí. <3
There’s no doubt my favorite traditional clothes of Chiapas Highlands are the ones of San Juan Cancuc.
In comparison of the other clothes it doesn’t carry the classic designs of flowers, the representation of the universe or frogs. Their huipiles are composed of brocades almost mathematical -well, all brocades are- however, these are a series of rectangular shapes that give me the impression of being composed of 8-bit units.
At last i had the opportunity to visit this community due to something I’m hatching with a beautiful artisan of the place that very soon I’ll show you. Meanwhile, I leave some pictures I took and I hope their outfits surprises you as much as me. <3
